DARK SHADOWS may not be Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's best collaboration, according to the critics. Rotten Tomatoes ranked the adaptation of the 60s television gothic soap opera as 41% rotten on the review site, but what are the fans saying about the gothic comedy? Watch their fan video reviews.
DARK SHADOWS opened to the number two slot behind Marvel's The Avengers with a take of $28.5 million for the Mother's Day weekend. The Avengers broke records for the second weekend, adding another $100 million to its bank account and beating Avatar's record of $75.6 mllion for a second weekend, according to Box Office Mojo.
DARK SHADOWS's opening came up short for a Burton/Depp film. DARK SHADOWS weekend opening ranks fourth for the dynamic duo behind Alice in Wonderland's $116.1 million, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's $56.2 million, Sleepy Hallow's $30.1 and then the dark comedy at $28.5 million. Sweeney Todd opened to less than stellar numbers at $9.3 million.

Add a commentDid Wrath of the Titans fare better with fans than Clash of the Titans? The 2010 blockbuster caused a backlash because of the horrible 3D conversion that it set a precedent on how not to make a film. Watch what the fans are saying about the new 3D spectacle.
Wrath of the Titans opened in the number two spot the first weekend with $33.5 million, half of the amount Clash did two years ago when it impressed with a 61.2 million debut. Overseas numbers, however, pushed the sequel over the $100 million mark with $78 million from 60 foreign markets. Reviews from critics and fans were drastically mixed, but that didn't stop fans from going out to see the movie.
Wrath of the Titans stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Danny Huston, and Rosamund Pike.
