IN THE HEIGHTS director Jon M. Chu pulled off a massive musical number in a community pool for the cinematic adaptation of the Broadway musical featuring over 600 extras and dancers. It wasn't an easy shoot, in addition, the water in the pool was freezing and the talent was ready to walk off because of the cold. The director did something to show them they weren't alone. Loki’s Mobius, played by Owen Wilson, knows everything there is to know about the God of Mischief in the new Disney+ series, but the actor playing the TVA agent is not familiar with the MCU or Loki of Asgard. Before the production, Tom Hiddleston sat down with Wilson to give him the 411 on the anti-hero’s misadventures, and out of those “Loki lectures,” as the actors refer to it, the script started to take shape with some of Wilson’s takes on the beloved character making their way onto their quirky banter.

CRUELLA is a pompous spectacle with a punk rock vibe. Every aspect of Disney’s origins story is outrageous but so much fun to revel in. The film is gorgeous to look at from the production design, the costumes, the cinematography and the hair/make-up to the delicious rivalry between Emma Stone and Emma Thompson. Everyone is a scene stealer including Cruella’s sidekicks Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry, and the dogs are best in show as well.
