Marvel Studios released the first look at the fantastic cast in THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS. The new trailer rehashes the origin story in flashbacks rather than retelling how the characters became Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), the Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), and The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
The first trailer reveals the 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic backdrop for a new reiteration of the four Marvel superheroes. The focus of the first preview puts emphasis a family affair with Kirby's Sue Storm declaring "Whatever life throws at us, we'll face it together, as a family.
The fantastic cast includes Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/ Human Torch), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/The Thing), Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles.
The new synopsis reveals the four will face the god, Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his Herald, Silver Surfer played by Ozark's Julia Garner. The action-adventure also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich who appears in the trailer, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles.
Directed by Matt Shakman, produced by Kevin Feige and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” opens in theaters July 25, 2025.
SYNOPSIS
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
