When actor, writer and director Eugenio Derbez first arrived in Hollywood, he often visited the Hollywood Walk of Fame and daydreamed of one day seeing his name engraved on one of the stars adorning Hollywood Boulevard. Derbez, however, never actually thought it would happen until March 10, 2016 when he became one of the few Mexican artists to have that honor. Derbez reveals to CineMovie the significance of having that privilege, why Chris Rock's Oscar monologue didn't sit well with him and why he invited the janitor from his office building to the Hollywood ceremony.

He's long been a huge star in his native Mexico with various successful shows, and his star keeps growing in Hollywood after his film, Instructions Not Included was a big hit here in the states. He's starred with Adam Sandler, Eva Mendes and most recently with Jennifer Garner in the upcoming Miracles from Heaven.
