The teaser trailer for Marvel's sequel to THOR has arrived and Chris Hemsworth is looking mighty fine as the hammer-wielding god.
The THOR:THE DARK WORLD teaser trailer, which premiered on iTunes, gives fans a taste if what's to come in the follow up to Marvel's alien superhero. Director Kenneth Branagh doesn't return to direct the action flick. Instead veteran television director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire) takes the helm and focuses on the action and less of the family drama in Asgard. The action-heavy teaser trailer focuses on the events after the Avengers' defeat of the alien invasion. Earth is once again in peril from a ancient race of Dark Elves led by Malekith, as well as Asgard and the other seven realms.Natalie Portman reunites with her love interest and transported to Asgard by Thor for some reason which places her in greater harm. The best scene in the new trailer is the appearance of the evil but likable Loki played by Tom Hiddleston. Who isn't glad that Loki might fight on the side of his brother, but he'll be up to something for sure given that snarky smile.
A teaser poster for the sequel was released last week in anticipation of the first look.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD opens in movie theaters after the crowded summer on November 8, 2013.
