The DREDD 3D and STAR TREK actor admits he's a sucker for the BBC series "Dr. Who," the recent "Battleship Galactica" and of course his next project, the sequel to the highly anticipated Star Trek movie. Karl Urban paid a visit to Miami on his publicity tour and sat down with Zay Zay for a one-on-one interview. The New Zealander is a bit of a fan boy and videogamer. In past interviews, he's mentioned being a fan of the Indiana Jones movies, Doom the videogame, and a "huge" fan of Star Trek, and AD Comics Judge Dredd character. The lucky actor has starred in 3 adaptations of his childhood favorites including being the new jawline of Judge Dredd.
Most recently, Karl tells Zay Zay he geeks out to Dr. Who and Battlestar Galactica. When asked if he would consider being the 12th Doctor, Urban says "its some pretty big boots to fill," but he's "good" when it comes to living out his boyhood fantasies starring in the revamped franchises of DREDD 3D and Star Trek. And speaking of Star Trek, CineMovie went ahead and asked about the top secret sequel to the beloved series, but after a fake out by Urban the answer was "no". Denied as usual.
DREDD 3D is in movie theaters September 21, 2012.
