We’re eleven months out before the next installment in the STAR WARS saga hits theaters, and Episode VIII finally has an official title. THE LAST JEDI seems fitting given all the questions surrounding the latest film in the STAR WARS saga.
Fans are probably going crazy trying to figure out who the last Jedi refers to. In STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS hints that Rey (Daisy Ridley) has some Jedi-like abilities, but technically Luke Skywalker is the last known Jedi. Let’s hope Mark Hamill lives through Episode VIII.
THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.
