Matthew McConaughey isn't looking his best as a HITV-positive patient in his new drama, DALLAS BUYERS CLUB. The actor lost a lot of weight as a terminally-ill man and he certainly looks the part in the new movie poster and preview.
In DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, Matthew McConaughey lost 38 pounds to play Texas electrician Ron Woodruff, a man diagnosed as HIV-positive in 1986, and dissatisfied with the lack of medical and drug treatment for the new disease. Once he finds an alternative treatment with homeopathic drugs in Mexico, he starts a business selling the non-FDA approved drugs in the United States. Of course he gets in trouble with the law and must battle to survive his diagnosis and staying out of jail.
Jared Leto returns to acting after a four-year hiatus and along with McConaughey lost over 30 pounds to play a fellow HIV-positive transgender. Jennifer Garner once again plays McConaughey's leading lady in DALLAS BUYERS CLUB, after having worked together in Ghost of Girlfriends Past.
