Star Trek Into Darkness Official Synopsis and Full-Trailer

Not only do we get a longer preview of long-anticipated sequel to the Star Trek reboot, but Paramount Pictures has released the official movie synopsis.
Earlier in December, an "announcement" trailer premiered which was essentially a teaser trailer, but a longer "teaser" trailer is now available through iTunes. The new trailer starts off with a voice over from Captain Pike (Bruce Greenwood) explaining the dangers of making choices for a whole crew while we see the destruction enacted by the villain played by Benedict Cumberbatch. We still don't get a clue to who this baddie may be or how he's causing the destruction. All we know is that he is wearing the Starfleet uniform. However, the official synopsis reveals the mysterious villain comes from "within their own organization."
Official Synopsis:
In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will be in theaters May 17th, 2013.
