KILLING THEM SOFTLY reunites Brad Pitt and James Gandolfino on screen for a third time after starring together in The Mexican alongside Julia Roberts, and first appearig in Tony Scott's True Romance together. The Sopranos star probably had some pointers for Pitt's mob hitman along with Goodfellas' Ray Liotta.
In KILLING THEM SOFTLY, the mob's go-to-guy enforcer (Pitt) must teach a lesson to the three thieves who dare steal from the mob. Jackie brings his customary professionalism to the assignment, only to find himself naavigating frustrating complications, including a finicky client that communicates through a buttoned-up middle-manager (Richard Jenkins), and a trusted colleague (James Gandolfini) who has turned surprisingly unpredictable. In the end, it is up to Jackie – unflappable, efficient and thoroughly versed in the vagaries of killing – to get the job done right.
KILLING THEM SOFTLY opens November 30, 2012.
