A new movie poster from the movie CARRIE is circulating the web featuring Julianne Moore as the religious nut Margaret. While there is no official word that this character poster is an official version, Julianne Moore's un-motherly image is enough to scare any child into submission.
The tagline "God Won't Help You" hovers over the image of Margaret, Carrie's bible thumping mother who along with the mean kids at school drive Carrie over the edge. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz as Carrie. While the original 1976 Stephen King adaptation scared the spooked everybody who saw it, we have hopes this "re-imagining" starring quality actors like Moore and Moretz will deliver. Unfortunately now we'll have to wait until October of 2013 to prove it. Set originally for the first quarter of 2013, Sony Pictures moved it into the month that typically does better for horror. Darn!
A CARRIE teaser trailer was released last October and featueres a taste of Carrie's destructive powers. The movie studio also launched its viral campaign with a phone number encouraging you to call Carrie. When calling the 1-207-404-2604 number, a live person actually picks up the phone. At the end of the trailer, the official website WhatHappenedToCarrie.com pops up. The viral campaign also has a second website at YouWillKnowHerName.com with clues to Carrie's mysterious powers.
