Michael Moore and Seth Rogen's controversial comments, and the fake baby scandal in American Sniper didn't hurt the film any as it took the number one spot again this weekend at the box office with another record-breaking $64 million. The Clint Eastwood film has become his highest grossing film to date, and the film has surpassed the $200 million mark in North America. Jennifer Lopez's THE BOY NEXT DOOR came in a distant second with $15 million, but it did far better than any other new movie this weekend. Johnny Depp's Mortdecai and the George Lucas-produced Strange Magic didn't even make the top five.

The Clint Eastwood-directed AMERICAN SNIPER starring Bradley Cooper has become the highest-grossing limited release in cinema history. Opening in only four theaters nationwide, the film earned a record-breaking $1.04 million in five days, and took in average of $260,000 per theater since opening Christmas Day.

Is it a coincidence that North Korea’s internet outage is related to the news that Sony has reversed it’s decision to release THE INTERVIEW on Christmas Day? We hope so but highly unlikely, but two people are most excited over the news are Seth Rogen and James Franco who took to Twitter to tweet out their joy about the news. Although the controversial film featuring an assassination plot against North Korea’s leader will only be playing in limited theaters across the United States, it’s the right message to send to the hackers. Don’t mess with America.
