'Barbie' Movie Review: A Subversive and Hilarious Comedy

Simu Liu, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in Barbie movie review

As expected, Greta Gerwig’s (LADYBIRD) live-action BARBIE movie is filled with subversive feminist messaging but Gerwig balances the truth bombs with comedy.  Margot Robbie is a perfect Barbie and Ryan Gosling steals the show with his himbo Ken-energy. Gerwig also manages to honor the Mattel icon without belittling the brand and empowers little girls to want more than just tea parties.

'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One' Movie Review

Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg in Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One movie review

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE fans will get their money’s worth in the seventh outing of Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) spy adventure in DEAD RECKONING PART ONE, even with a familiar story that hits the same beats from one movie to the next, and a questionable villain. However, this is possibly the funniest installment of the franchise.

'Secret Invasion' Review: The Jury's Still Out

Cobie Smulders and Samuel L Jackson in Secret Invastion on Disney Plus

Secret Invasion closely resembles Star Wars: Andor series. Both Disney+ series are slow-burn spy thrillers with character-driven plots, and devoid of Jedis and Avengers to save the day. 'Flamin’ Hot' Review: A Spicy Cheetos Origin Story

FLAMIN’ HOT is the movie the Frito-Lay company doesn’t want you to see. Directed by Eva Longoria, the Hulu and Disney+ movie is an origin story of the Flamin Hot Cheetos, allegedly the brain child of former Frito-Lay executive Richard Montañez during his early days as a janitor at the company. Despite the corporation’s claim that Montañez had nothing to do with the launch, FLAMIN’ HOT is an inspirational rags-to-riches Latino story.

‘Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse’ Movie Review: Fanboy’s Heads Will Explode

Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse movie review

SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE is artistry at its best. The amount of animation styles is crazy, and the numerous Easter Eggs keep your eyes ping-ponging trying to catch all the Spider-verse characters. The stakes and visuals are intense, and it will require multiple viewings to take in all the overwhelming animation and surprising plot twists.
