In short, THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. is entertaining solely because of Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander's chemistry, but as far as the story goes it's your typical get the nuclear warhead from the bad guys-type of plot. However, the Man of Steel was a delight to see in a comedy looking quit dapper and debonair, and the 60s fashion was in itself a scene stealer.

One doesn’t go into a NWA biopic expecting to shed a tear or two, but STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON director F. Gary Gray delivers a story that hits on all the emotions from sadness, anger to light-hearted moments. STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON doesn’t focus on the music rather on the friendship behind NWA and how fame ruined it.

Watched EX-MACHINA on Blu-ray & it lives up to the hype. Most reviews called it "great" but I'd say "really good" with a somewhat predictable ending, but still have to give it props for an original story. Good performances from cast and great score. The movie also turned me onto the band, Savages whose single "Husbands" is used during the end credits & their sound is reminiscent of early Siouxsie & the Banshees (Yay! Always in need of new music).

On my “Hot and Bothered” scale, the sequel to MAGIC MIKE scored lower than its predecessor. MAGIC MIKE XXL, as far as story goes, was much more compelling than the first one, but I couldn’t pinpoint why it didn’t satisfy as much as the first one. Then I caught the first movie on E!, and it all made sense.

Charlize Theron isn’t the only token female in the action movie with a few other strong women playing a big part in FURY ROAD. While George Miller says he didn’t set out to make the film pro-feminist, the reboot is ripe with all sorts of girl power including the traditional sexy role that should thrill men and women.

We loved Al Pacino so much in his new film DANNY COLLINS we’re forgiving him for his part in Adam Sandler’s Jack and Jill. Pacino is the rock star of acting, and in DANNY COLLINS he proves it once again with the help of an awesome ensemble. DANNY COLLINS is one of those rare movies where everything works well together from the superb acting, a heart-felt story and the soundtrack of John Lennon classics which plays hand-in-hand with the story.
