On my “Hot and Bothered” scale, the sequel to MAGIC MIKE scored lower than its predecessor. MAGIC MIKE XXL, as far as story goes, was much more compelling than the first one, but I couldn’t pinpoint why it didn’t satisfy as much as the first one. Then I caught the first movie on E!, and it all made sense.

Charlize Theron isn’t the only token female in the action movie with a few other strong women playing a big part in FURY ROAD. While George Miller says he didn’t set out to make the film pro-feminist, the reboot is ripe with all sorts of girl power including the traditional sexy role that should thrill men and women.

Whoa! The new trailer for TERMINATOR GENISYS reveals something quite shocking. It seems Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) and Schwarzenegger's terminator are fighting off a third terminator in the reboot to the original 1984 film. Expectations going into FIFTY SHADES OF GREY were quite low for a movie adaptation based on an erotica book by E.L. James. The negative online buzz also added to the dread of watching the film, so it was a pleasant surprise when I got sucked into the story.

The reviews for Christopher Nolan's INTERSTELLAR are in, and they are a mixed bag with mostly positive reactions from moviegoers. On RottenTomatoes, 92% of regular folk are liking the outer space saga while 72% of critics are liking it less than the masses. The hype around the movie starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine and Jessica Chastain should be enough to propel it to the number one spot at the box office.
