Night Shyamalan for SPLIT, and has continued the relationship to the newest sequel, GLASS. Delgado has derived a lot of his inspiration over the years from his people watching during his travelogue work life as well as from Barcelona where he was born and London, where he now resides. He used this backdrop to create exquisite costume designs for all his projects.

Delgado initially started his career in theatre but ultimately fell in love with film following a project that he worked on. He is now one of the most renown costume designers with a bright future ahead. He emphasizes how exciting it has been to work with actors Bruce Willis, James McAvoy and Sarah Paulson as well as with Shyamalan.

Split M Night Shyamalan Paco Delgado

Shyamalan’s upcoming film, GLASS brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s UNBREAKABLE, from Touchstone, and 2016’s SPLIT to create a saga of characters that exists in a comic book-style world. Delgado worked with Shyamalan to create a color code for each of the characters to match their personalities, motivations and past. He used a purple palette for Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), a green one for David Dunn (Bruce Willis), and yellow for James McAvoy and his multiple characters. He reassures that GLASS is one of his most proud works.

Don’t miss Universal Pictures’ GLASS in theaters this Friday, January 18.
