Gael Garcia Bernal stars and executive produces the life story of Saúl Armendáriz better known as Cassandro, the “Liberace of Lucha Libre." The gay luchador transformed the wrestling world, and Bernal inhabits the real-life wrestler in the biopic, CASSANDRO. Watch the first trailer and images from the Prime Video movie which also features Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) and El Hijo del Santo.
CASSANDRO will premiere in select theaters on September 15, and on Prime Video on September 22.

Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler from El Paso, rises to international stardom after he creates the character ‘Cassandro,’ the “Liberace of Lucha Libre.” In the process, he upends not just the macho wrestling world, but also his own life.
