In honor of Pride Month, Prime Video has released a new photo of Gael Garcia Bernal as Saul Armendáriz known as Cassandro, the “Liberace of Lucha Libre" for the new movie, CASSANDRO. Check out the new image below.
Based on a true story, Gael García Bernal stars as the gay amateur wrestler from El Paso who creates the character Cassandro. CASSANDRO is directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams. The film also stars Joaquín Cosío and Raúl Castillo, with special appearances from El Hijo del Santo and Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny)
CASSANDRO is in select theaters on September 15 and streaming globally on Prime Video on September 22
