Director Pedro Almodavar and Antonio Banderas reunite for their sixth collaboraton in THE SKIN I LIVE IN. In this clip from the Spanish film, Banderas is plastic surgeon Dr. Robert Ledgard fending off a woman's advances who will eventually become his human guinea pig for his experiment.
Antonio Banderas is no stranger to playing mentally unstable characters in a Pedro Almodovar film. In their previous union, Antonio came to attention in his most popular Spanish film Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down. He starred previously in Almodovar's Women On A Verge Of A Breakdown.
In THE SKIN I LIVE IN, Roberto loses his wife in a burning car, and becomes obsessed with finding a way to create new skin that could've saved his wife. In twelve years testing new skin, he comes up with a viable solution, but he will need a human to test out his experiment.
THE SKIN I LIVE IN opens in LA and New York on October 14, 2011.
