CASTING CALL: Hollywood Looking for the Next Burlesque Dancer

Ever dream of getting discovered in Hollywood? Your time has come. To celebrate the opening of the new musical BURLESQUE starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Sony Pictures, MTV and KIIS FM are looking for the best dancer in Los Angeles. The winner will be featured on the MTV website, along with a chance to win $5,000 and the chance for their video to be on MTV.
If you are an amateur dancer between the ages of 13 - 30 and think you have what it takes, come out and show us your stuff on Sunday, October 24 at Hollywood and Highland Center, 6801 Hollywood Blvd, Central Courtyard on Level 2, Hollywood, CA 90028. Priority Registration 1 pm. Contest 2 - 4 pm. Hosted by KIIS FM's JoJo on The Radio.
All forms of dance are welcome: lyrical, hip-hop, freestyle, ballet - you name it! Dress code and performance must be family friendly. Individuals only, no groups. The Los Angeles winner will receive two tickets to the World Premiere of BURLESQUE, $300 and will qualify for a chance to win the $5,000 grand prize and a have their performance featured on MTV.

In her first starring role, Grammy-award winning singer Christina Aguilera stars alongside another songstress Cher, Twilight's Cam Giganet, Dancing with the Stars' Julianne Hough and Kristen Bell (When in Rome) in BURLESQUE opening November 24, 2010.
Ali (Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club's proprietor and headliner. Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day. Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician. With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and a gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali akes he way from the bar to the stage.
