Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr., seems to be losing the fight over evil in the new movie poster and Super Bowl teaser spot for IRON MAN 3. Iron Man falls out of the sky in flames in a beat up suit in the spanking new one-sheet from the third movie. Hey! Isn't that a scene out of The Avengers?
We last saw Iron Man falling to his doom in last summer's blockbuster assembly of Marvel's superheroes, only to be saved by the Hulk. In IRON MAN 3, Tony Stark/Iron Man faces his most formidable foe in Ben Kingsley's The Mandarin, and judging by the images and latest footage, he's going to come out of it battered and bruised even with the help of War Machine played by Don Cheadle.
Marvel and Disney also released a 14 second game spot teaser to wet your appetite for a full preview during Sunday's big game on CBS. In that quick preview, Iron Man is in need of his superhero friends as he loses the battle against The Mandarin. But there are no Avengers in this solo project for the Iron Man? Can't wait to see how he gets out of that predicament. Given its directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), this adventure will certainly be darker than the previous versions.
IRON MAN 3 kicks off the summer blockbusters starting May 3, 2013.
