Disney has released the official trailer for the futuristic JOHN CARTER with an old-school rock song by Led Zeppelin taking center stage over the action.

JOHN CARTER star Taylor Kitsch premiered the official trailer on Good Morning America this morning. This is the second trailer for the The Disney action film. The first trailer for the action film was accompanied by a somber track "My Body is a Cage" by Peter Gabriel which gave it an epic feel.   The second time around, director Andrew Stanton went with a rock classic by Led Zeppelin "Kashmire" as it plays over the special effects-heavy film.  Although the song may be over three decades old, it seems fitting for the action adventure story.   Led Zeppelin is making quite a comback (in movies) this year as another of their popular song is featured in David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Yeah Yeah Yeah's Karen O's rendition of "Immigrant Song."

An adaptation of Edgar Rice Burroughs' series, John Carter a civil war veteran mysteriously wakes up on Mars-like planet Barsoom, where 12-foot tall green warriors enslave him. JOHN CARTER stars Taylor Kitsch ("Friday Night Lights"), Lynn Collins (Wolverine) and Willem Dafoe as the alien Tars Tarkas and directed by Academy Award-winning director John Carter director Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL-E).

JOHN CARTER will be in movie theatres on March 9, 2012.
