Disney's Tangled is getting a sequel in the form of a short animated film premiering ahead of Disney's big screen 3D revision of Beauty and the Beast next year.

Titled, Tangled Ever After, the short sequel brings back Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi as Rapunzel and Flynn as they head to the alter for their royal wedding.  Tangled directors Byron Howard and Nathan Greno return as the directors for the short film and pick up the story where the 2010 film left off.

In Tangled Ever After, the Kingdom is in a festive mood as everyone gathers for the royal wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn.  However, when Pascal and Maximus, as flower chameleon and ring bearer, respectively, lose the gold bands, a frenzied search and recovery mission gets underway.  As the desperate duo tries to find the rings before anyone discovers that they’re missing, they leave behind a trail of comical chaos that includes flying lanterns, a flock of doves, a wine barrel barricade and a very sticky finale.  Will Maximus and Pascal save the day and make it to the church in time?

Tangled Ever After will premiere when Beauty and the Beast returns to movie theatres next year on January 13 in Disney Digital 3D™  with all new 3D imagery.

Making a short film version of a Disney film may sound unusual but Disney has been experimented lately with short films with Pixar's Toy Story getting two of their own brief films starring Woody and Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story gang. The first, "A Hawaiian vacation," appeared ahead of Cars 2 earlier this year and most recently a new Toy Story short film premiered with The Muppets.
