Michelle Pfeiffer Whips Out The Cat-Like Moves for 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania'

Michelle Pfeiffer reprises her role as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA, and this time, she’s in action mode. While she’s not known as an action star, her most memorable role is that of Selina Kyle/Catwoman in Tim Burton’s BATMAN RETURNS (1992). The 64-year-old actress admits she needed extra preparation to get back in the action game, but she felt like a “badass.”

Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym and Pfeiffer’s Janet don’t sit on the sidelines as in two previous ANT-MAN movies but the former Ant-Man and the Wasp have their superhero moments. Pfeiffer gets down and dirty with some physical moves that may remind audience members of her cat-like moves as Catwoman. Being out of practice, the actress felt like she needed more training before tackling the action scenes.

“I kind of wish I had had more preparation,” she revealed at the movie’s press conference. As these things go, it sort of evolves over time. And, I mean, we do have preparation. We have amazing stunt people. There's just like a whole department, and you're incredibly supported. And there's training that goes along with that.”

Pfeiffer certainly didn’t need any more practice as her slick moves came off flawless but she may be a perfectionist.

“And yeah, I just worked with them to exhaustion, really, on some of those more physical scenes. But it's a lot of fun. I like doing that sort of thing. That's fun for me. So, I like that Janet is kind of a badass.”
