'The Continental' Director and Producer Albert Hughes On Handling Gun Play On Set & Why The John Wick Prequel Was The Most Rewarding

Director Albert Hughes interview for The Continental Peacock series John Wick prequel

Director and producer Albert Hughes (MENACE II SOCIETY, THE BOOK OF ELI) enters the JOHN WICK universe in a prequel to the Keanu Reeves movies. Hughes says working on Peacock's new series, The Continental: From the World of John Wick has been the most rewarding project in his 32-year career where he spent most of his time making socially-relevant movies. He also explains how he handles gun safety on set for a franchise loaded with firearms.

The Continental is being called a three-part event focused on a young Winston Scott (Colin Woodell), originally played by Ian McShane in the JOHN WICK films.  Set in 1970's New York City, Winston takes on the mysterious underworld in order to seize control of the hotel-for-assassins.

The series is now streaming on Peacock.
