Anna Faris admits to not doing her homework before reprising her role as "Sam Sparks" and Benjamin Bratt says he's sounding like George Bush when he flubs a famous quote in our interview with the CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 stars.
CineMovie's Fernando Esquivel sat down with Anna Faris and Benjamin Bratt to talk food and voiceover work. To revisit the voice of Manny, the strong but silent Latino character in the movie, Benjamin Bratt popped in the first CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS movie to remind him of the Latino accent of the little jack of all trades. He didn't have much lines in the first movie, but for the sequel directed by ????, he had quite a few more lines which he jokes he paid the filmmakers for the increase screen time. Anna Faris, on the other hand, figured she was coming in and reading the lines in her own voice so it should be a piece of cake, but the filmmakers on the first day of the recording session advised her that she didn't sound like Sam Sparks. She tells CineMovie she found that odd since she didn't recall altering her voice for the first movie. However, she did come to realize that she spoke in a higher register an quickly got back into character. For more with the actors, watch the interview. CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS 2 is now playing in movie theaters.
