Geena Davis stars in the fall season’s scariest show “The Exorcist,” and CineMovie caught up with the cast from the new FOX show at the San Diego Comic Con 2016. Davis, Ben Daniels (“House of Cards”) and Davis’ on screen daughters boast about the show’s cinematic feel thanks to director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, ? ), the horrors that await the viewers and why it’s not a reboot or remake, but a continuation of the story.
Don’t expect a remake of the classic 1973 movie with the same name or the book based on William Blatty’s novel. FOX’s “The Exorcist” references events from the movie and book, but this brand new story centers on a family who experiences possessions, and two very different priests tackling the terrifying demonic possession in the all-new FOX series, THE EXORCIST.
