INTERVIEW: Wilmer Valderrama and Alex Vega

Wilmer Valderrama (That 70's Show) and Spy Kids' Alexa Vega reconnect with their Latino heritage in the new comedy FROM PRADA TO NADA and they sit down with CineMovie's Zay Zay in Miami.

FROM PRADA TO NADA follows two spoiled sisters when they are left penniless after the sudden death of their father.  Forced to move in with their estranged aunt in East Los Angeles, this is a fish-out-of-water story where the girls ultimately find romance, as well as a love for their culture.

Wilmer Valderram and Alexa Vega interview

The FROM PRADA TO NADA stars tell CineMovie how making the movie made them connect with their own heritage.  The half-Columbian Alexa Vega admitted she had forgotten most of her Spanish but soon reconnected with the language working on the film.  Like her character, Mary Dominguez, she was inspired to re-learn Spanish and reconnect with her heritage.  Her Miami born co-star  Wilmer, however, has kept in touch with his roots.  The FROM PRADA TO NADA star created and executive produces the animated Disney TV show Handy Mandy with bilingual characters. The half-Columbian and half-Venezuela actor also lived in Venezuela as a child.

FROM PRADA TO NADA opens in movie theaters January 28, 2011.
