Maximiliano Hernandez plays S.H.I.E.L.D agent in 'Item 47,' a short film included in The Avengers DVD release. CineMovie sits down with the actor who talks about being part of the Marvel Universe and who he would be if he could be an Avenger.

Actor Maximiliano Hernandez reprises his role of Agent Sitwell for another Marvel short film "Item 47," an extra bonus feature on The Avengers home entertainment release of the successful superhero film. Hernandez first appeared in the role of Agent Sitwell in Thor and in the short film "The Consultant" which was Marvel's second short film (Marvel One-Shot) that accompanied the Marvel movie home release of Thor. He once again reprises his role as the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in "Item 47," a spin-off of the Avengers. In "Item 47," Agent Sitwell and other S.H.I.E.L.D. agent are on the heels of the couple who found the alien Chitauri gun left behind during the fight with the Avengers and decide to go on a robbing spree.

Maximiliano Hernandez reveals to CineMovie's Ashley Michelle his fondness for the Marvel comics in particular The Hulk comic series. The father of one admits he and his son dress up as the Avengers for Halloween. He also tells us what he would do if he was the one if he found the Chitauri gun.

More About Maximiliano Hernandez:

Maximiliano Hernandez, a Brooklyn native, began acting in high school in order to get out of detention.  Although his parents, both originally from Honduras, wanted him to study a trade, Max chose to study the craft of acting.  After leaving the BFA program at Leonard Davis Center for the performing arts in Harlem, Max began working Off - Broadway at theaters like The Cherry Laneand The Public and was a founding member of Axis, an experimental theater company based at the Sheridan Lane theatre.  He then graduated to guest star appearances onLaw & Order and other New York based TV shows and small parts on locally shot films like Mira Nair’s The Namesake and James Gray’s The Yards.  Max was then cast and worked opposite Edward Norton in Gavin O’Connor’s Pride & Glory, and Warrior starring Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy, and Joel Edgerton.  Since then, he and his family relocated to Los Angeles, where he co-starred on the Fox series K-ville, and appeared on shows like 24,Numbers, Shark among others. Max lives with his son, Diego, and his fiancée Marta Cabret in Pasadena.  Max currently holds the role of Agent Sitwell in the Marvel features Thor and The Avengers.  He still avoids detention at all cost.
