What Spooks Mexican Icon Angélica Maria

Mexico's sweetheart Angélica Maria visited Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Haunt with her daughter and actress Angélica Vale and she's talking about what spooked her as a kid.

 

Actress and singer Angélica Maria attended the opening night of 2013's Halloween Horror Night and confessed she brought her tennis shoes to make a run for it when the ghouls and zombie come for her in the park. This year, the Latino boogeyman has his own maze with El Cucy. Maria tells us that El Cucuy is actually an Americanized term, since in Mexico, the boogeyman is referred to as El Coco.  

"La Nova de Mexico" as she is called down South came to Universal Studios for the EyeGore event to claim last year's award, which she and her daughter Angélica Vale won for their roles as assassins in the Mexican television series, "Mujeres Asesinas,"  Armed with the Ghoul statue which she kissed and sang to during the red carpet, she was happy to come back a year later and presented the award again.

When asked what scares her the most, Maria jokes that the living are the scariest things around.  She also revealed that when she first watched Psycho as a child, she refused to take a shower.
