Adan Canto may look familiar for television. The actor played one of psychotic followers of Joe Carroll in the first season of Kevin Bacon's FOX television show "The Following." He's currently appearing on the ABC show, "Mixology" as the sexy bartender. On May 23rd, Canto joins the X-Men's fight against the Sentinels in the latest adventures of the Marvel superheroes directed by Bryan Singer. In X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, he fires up as Sunspot, a mutant that harnesses super solar powers.
Adan was born in the city of Acuña, in the state of Coahuila, Mexico and moved to Del Rio, Texas when he was in middle school. Upon graduating from High School, he moved to Mexico City to pursue a Jazz music career, and a series of events led him to catch the acting bug. He appeared in independent films Amar No Es Querer, Casi 30, television series "Estado de Gracia," "Los Minondo," "Me mueves" and the hit stage adaptation of Pedro Almodovar's Oscar-winning "All About My Mother."
