Disney Moana 2 Musical

Out of the blue, Walt Disney's Bob Iger announced a follow-up to the 2016 animated film, MOANA and released a first look at a teaser trailer and image. The news was a surprise, and it makes no mention of which cast members will return but a familiar voice makes a cameo in the preview.

The sequel news was a huge surprise given a live-action version is on the way in 2025 with Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui. Walt Disney Company Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger announced the sequel today. “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise,” said Iger, “and we can’t wait to give you more of Moana and Maui when ‘Moana 2’ comes to theaters this November.”

The press release did not mention if the voice cast is reprising their roles but we do hear Johnson's Maui character at the end of the teaser trailer. However, there's no mention of Auli'i Cravalho is reprising her voice role as Moana.

MOANA 2 will voyage into movie theaters this NOVEMBER.
