Jim Carrey returns to form in this new endearing comedy that will have you laughing in your seat. I haven't enjoyed a Jim Carrey movie in a long time the worst being The Number 23 and Fun with Dick and Jane.
In the movie, Jim Carrey's Carl is forced to start saying "yes" to every request and his life takes positive turns once he commits. He meets the spontaneous Zooey Deschanel's character and they bond over wild adventures. Their chemistry is golden and you could really believe why she falls head over heals for Carl. Although Zooey is way younger than Carrey, the relationship is believable and cutesy.
There are some over the top Jim Carrey moments but this performance shows a maturity not seen in previous comedies which brought me back to the Carrey camp.
The movie had me going for a while and I bought into the whole maybe I should starting saying yes in the future. But like the movie, people take advantage of you and saying yes isn't always to your best interest.
But what is in your best interest if looking for a good time at the movies, is saying ""yes" to Yes Man.
