Titan Comics announced a brand new comics series, based on the Assassin's Creed® Universe: “Last Descendants - Locus.` This four-part comic min-series is penned by Eisner-nominated Ian Edginton (X-Force, H.G. Wells’ War of the Worlds) and ties directly into the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed young adult book series, Last Descendants by Matthew J. Kirby, to be published by Scholastic on August 30 2016. Fans of the Assassin’s Creed video game will also be able to revisit the Victorian London setting of Assassin’s Creed Syndicates.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is essentially another Avengers movie with most of the Marvel superheroes coming together to fight each other. That’s not exactly a bad thing given AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON left a bad taste in my mouth. CIVIL WAR is nearly perfect with great action that doesn’t involve mass destruction, aliens or world domination. The introduction of Black Panther, Ant-Man and Spider-Man nearly steals the show.

Gerard Butler returns as Mike Banning, a secret service agent protecting President Asher played by Aaron Eckhart in LONDON HAS FALLEN, a follow-up to OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN. CineMovie had a little fun with secret service expert Hermann Binek with 13+ years of experience in personal protective security. Along with social media influencers Mexican Gueys, Binek demonstrates evasion and self-defense tactics used in three assassination attempts he stopped throughout his career.

Sean Penn is one brave man. The actor turned activist has been at the forefront of political and social causes such as his work in Haiti, his meetings with controversial political figures such as Cuban president Raul Castro, Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez and now he can add Mexico's public enemy number 1 - Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera otherwise known as El Chapo. The infamous drug lord escaped two Mexican prisons, but was recently captured once again. In the Rolling Stone article, he details the trip to Mexico along with Mexican actress Kate del Castillo who arranged the meeting with her pen pal.

We're officially 15 years into the 21st century, which means it's time for some serious reflection. It's really been an incredible 15 years for film lovers, to the point that Hollywood at the outset of 2016 seems more capable than ever. But that's not to say there haven't been plenty of low points. In fact, the massive budgets and hype cycles we've gotten used to have almost made it harder for movies to live up to expectations, resulting in more disappointments.
So just for fun, and with Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice right around the corner, here's a look back at my 10 most disappointing films of the 21st century so far.

Robert Downey Jr. and Jennifer Lawrence were the highest paid actors in 2015, according to Entertainment Weekly's year-end wrap up issue. The Iron Man earned a reportedly $80 million dollars for his two films in 2015 while the Hunger Games star took away a $52 million pay check by the year's end despite having worked on four films in 2015. The gender divide in pay is obvious when comparing the two stars' salaries.

Rarely does a film leave an impression, but JOY starring Jennifer Lawrence, Robert DeNiro and Edgar Ramirez, is a very inspiring movie about an ordinary woman doing extraordinary things despite the negative voices around her. David O’Russell’s JOY is a love letter to women who often have to fight twice as hard as men in this life.

A new exhibit opening October 29at the California Science Center in Los Angeles offers those interested in space exploration a chance to see what the future holds for space exploration through exhibits and a 3D film.

Disney honored eight individuals at the D23 Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center for the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony Friday morning. George Lucas, composer Danny Elfman, Susan Lucci and others involved with Disney through the years, but a last minute addition surprised audiences at the panel. Johnny Depp was a last minute honoree, and he too was surprised at being named a "legend." Watch video from the Disney panel.

Warner Bros. recreated Neverland in Beverly Hills at the London Hotel for an event celebrating the new movie, PAN starring Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Amanda Seyfried,Rooney Mara and Levi Miller as Peter Pan. At the event, costumes from the movie were on display as well as art from the film. Sue Evelyn Gil takes you to the world of Peter Pan recreated on the roof of a hotel overlooking Los Angeles.
