In the preview to the fourth installment of the very successful SCREAM franchise ($500 million at the worldwide box office), the story returns to what made the original a favorite in the 1990s. While the original poked fun at the horror formula, the SCREAM 4 story turns it around and plays on the SCREAM formula. So should we expect the same fate as Drew Barrymore's character for Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell since they seem to be minor players in the preview? Or is Courtney the big star that gets the ax as hinted in the trailer? We hope not but going against formula is what made the original SCREAM a scream.
SCREAM 4 next year on April 15, 2011.
