Frankenweenie Movie Monster Posters

Sparky isn't the only pet that comes back to life in Tim Burton's Frankenweenie.  Meet the other Frankenweenie movie monsters like the Turtle Monster, Mummy Hamster, and Were-Rat in the just released character posters.

Victor Frankenstein brings back his beloved pooch Sparky after a car accident takes his life.  Of course there are consequences to the mad science when his school mates figure out how Victor resurrected his dog.  The result is a Gamera-sized turtle, a bandaged up hamster, some sea creatures and other hilariously funny monsters.  Walt Disney Pictures created these old monster movie style posters for each pet. FRANKENWEENIE opens October 5, 2012.

Turtle Monster

The character of Toshiaki is determined to win the science fair so he reanimates his dead turtle Shelley, but the experiment goes wrong. The resurrected turtle comes back at an enormous size reminiscent of the Japanese monster Gamera.  The turtle monster is obviously a nod to the classic Japanese monster.

Mummy Hamster

Victor's classmate Nassor brings back his pet hamster, Colossus.  He frees his hamster from a mausoleum in the town's pet cemetery, bringing forth a mummy-wrapped little monster who doesn't live up to his name.

Were-Rat

The ugliest of the bunch, the Were-Rat is Edgar's scientific experiment gone wrong.  The Egor-like kid finds a dead rat in the school trash bin to bring from the dead. Of course, the roadkill becomes a much bigger menace to the town that walks on its hind legs with long, sharp fangs.

Sparky

Then you have the cute stitched up dog who is no threat to the town of New Holland, but his resurrection causes all kinds of trouble for Victor and Mr. and Mrs. Frankenstein.
