RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK Expanding In Movie Theaters

The RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK's one-week IMAX engagement was so successful Paramount Pictures has extended its theatrical run to more than 300 digital theaters in the United States and Canada.  Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford attend a special event celebrating the release of the Indiana Jones series on Blu-ray.

In anticipation of the “INDIANA JONES: THE COMPLETE ADVENTURES” debut on Blu-ray™ September 18, Paramount Pictures released the beloved re-mastered film from director Steven Spielberg and executive producer George Lucas Friday, September 7 exclusively in IMAX movie theaters.  The Harrison Ford starrer was meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving its original look, sound and feel for a highly-anticipated release in theaters and on Blu-ray under the supervision of Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt.

The Blu-ray™ from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Media Distribution contains seven hours of bonus material, including a brand new two-part documentary titled “On Set with Raiders of the Lost Ark – From Jungle to Desert and From Adventure to Legend” and nearly an hour of rarely seen footage from the set of the film and archival interviews with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford.

Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg reunited on the Paramount Lot in Los Angeles Thursday, September 13 for a special Q&A event for fans moderated by CEO of Paramount Brad Grey.  See images below.  The event was part of a September-long celebration of the newly re-mastered the INDIANA JONES AND THE RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK/INDIANA JONES movie series.
