Emily Blunt is an FBI agent sent to Mexico to help in the war against drugs, but judging from the new trailer for SICARIO, she’s being set up for failure. Hopefully she’s the last woman standing in a role that could have easily gone to a male. Watch the trailer for the film that won rave reviews at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
SICARIO stands for assassin in Spanish. Besides Blunt, Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro also star in SICARIO which opens September 18. In SICARIO, Blunt is an idealistic task force official sent to Mexico by Brolin’s character. Del Toro is her Mexican handler, but his questionable past makes her doubt a mission that’s looking like a suicide mission.
