John Carpenter makes rare appearance at Halloween movie convention

John Carpenter rarely attends Halloween movie conventions so a sighting of the iconic movie director was a pleasant site for fans at the Halloween: Forty-Five Years of Terror Convention in Pasadena, California this past weekend. Watch what the elusive filmmaker had to say about the 1978 movie and why the Western genre was the one type of film he wishes he had directed.

Besides Carpenter, the original supporting cast and Carpenter collaborators attended the convention as usual. Nancy Kyes ("Nancy Loomis"), P.J. Soles ("Lynda"), the Shape himself, Nick Castle and HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH director Tommy Lee Wallace made their usual trek to the annual convention.
