Baby Chimpanzees at Play in Disneynature Film

Disneynature is back with some more adorable animals in CHIMPANZEE as the cameras take you to the forests of Africa for the story of Oscar, a baby chimp learning the ways of the Chimpanzee. When it opened on Earth Day April 20, Disneynature contributed $.20 per ticket sold during the film's opening week to the Jane Goodall Institute for the Disneynature Tchimpounga Nature Reserve Project.  CHIMPANZEE is out on Blu-ray and DVD August 21, 2012. Disneynature will donate a portion of first-week sales to the Jane Goodall Institute through the “See ‘Chimpanzee,’ Save Chimpanzees” Conservation Program.

In CHIMPANZEE, Tim Allen narrates the Disneynature film about Oscar’s playful curiosity and zest for discovery showcase the intelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom. Working together, Oscar’s chimpanzee family—including his mom, Isha, and the group’s savvy leader, Freddy — navigates the complex territory of the forest. But when Oscar’s family is confronted by a rival band of chimpanzees, he is left to fend for himself until a surprising ally steps in and changes his life forever.
