In this hilarious parody of Hollywood’s obsession with cinematic universes, the Spaceballs 2 Hall H presentation delivered the ultimate franchise announcement — the future of the Spaceballs Cinematic Universe.
The presentation featured a star-studded lineup including Josh Gad, Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, Keke Palmer, and Lewis Pullman, along with director Josh Greenbaum and writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit. Josh Gad unveiled the master plan for the Almighty Schwartz Saga — a ridiculous century-long roadmap of sequels, spin-offs, and galaxy-sized adventures.
Move over MCU, there’s a new saga in town. It all starts on April 23, 2027, when Spaceballs: The New One sequel hits movie theaters.
Of course, this isn’t a real franchise announcement — it’s a playful jab at the endless phases, timelines, and interconnected universes that have become a staple of blockbuster filmmaking.
Taking inspiration from the way studios map out decades of movies, the parody imagines Spaceballs getting its own massive cinematic universe filled with endless adventures, returning characters, and enough Schwartz-powered storytelling to last generations.
