First Look: Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Teaser Trailer and Poster Pack a Punch

The galaxy far, far away is calling once again — and this time, it’s bigger than ever. Lucasfilm has just released the first teaser trailer and poster for STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU, offering fans an exciting glimpse at the next big adventure in the beloved saga. The film opens exclusively in theaters on May 22, 2026.

The story picks up after the fall of the Empire, with Imperial warlords scattered and plotting in the shadows. The fragile New Republic is struggling to safeguard the hard-won peace of the Rebellion. To protect the galaxy, the Republic calls upon none other than Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) — the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter — and his loyal companion Grogu.

The teaser promises a heart-pounding, galaxy-spanning adventure as the duo faces their most thrilling mission yet. From breathtaking space battles to tense encounters with new enemies, fans can expect the scale and emotion of STAR WARS storytelling on the big screen, delivered as a classic movie adventure for all ages.  The new teaser poster style screams old school adventure movies.

The film is directed by Jon Favreau, the creative mind who launched The Mandalorian series on Disney+. Joining Pascal is the legendary Sigourney Weaver in a mysterious new role, adding even more excitement to the cast.

Behind the scenes, the project is guided by some of the most influential names in Star Wars: producers Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. The score will once again be composed by Ludwig Göransson, ensuring that familiar Mandalorian themes will soar alongside new, cinematic arrangements.
