Danny Trejo and Robert Rodriguez Talk Machete Sequel

CineMovie caught up with director Robert Rodriguez and Machete star Danny Trejo at the Spy Kids: All The Time In The World 4D premiere where the two dished on the latest news of the sequel to Machete -- Machete Kills.

Danny Trejo, a Spy Kids alumni, came out to support his friend and Machete director Robert Rodriguez for the red carpet premiere of his fourth Spy Kids film at L.A. Live. Jessica Alba, Trejo's leading lady in Machete and star of Spy Kids in 4D, was also in attendance despite her advanced pregnancy. When asked if Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez would return in the Machete sequel, Robert Rodriguez said he rather keep it quiet.
The Spy Kids director did reveal he is finishing up the Machete Kills script and plans to go into production this year. Danny would only say about the sequel that it will "blow your mind" and the script is "amazing."
Robert also is working on a follow-up to Sin City and currently writing the script to the Frank Miller-inspired movie.
