The Dark Phoenix arises once again with Jean Grey, played by Sophie Turner, becoming her evil alter ego. Although the action scenes are pretty good, this by far is the worst out of the movie franchise right up there with X-MEN: THE LAST STAND. Find out why in our video review below.

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is the Godzilla movie we've been waiting for. Directed by Michael Dougherty (KRAMPUS), he shows great respect for the king of the monsters and incorporates a lot of the history of the Toho Godzilla movies. A true fan will recognize all those nods and enjoy the movie. Although you're not as invested in the human characters except for Millie Bobby Brown's character, and the family drama, we're there for the monster mashup. Watch our review as we skirt Los Angeles traffic.

From James Gunn comes one of the most original horror films in a long time. Executive produced by James Gunn and written by his brother Brian and cousin Mark Gunn, BRIGHTBURN takes Superman's origin story and gives it a very dark twist. BRIGHTBURN has been described as "superhero horror," and it lives up to that moniker.

If you’ve been invested in the Marvel movies since IRON MAN, be ready for your emotions to be wrecked with AVENGERS: ENDGAME. The payoff is there and you'll run the gamut of feelings from elation, laughter to a happy cry and a sad cry. The Russo Brothers and writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus threw everything in there to pay homage to the 22 films Marvel has put out. No stone was left unturned. The three hour run time went by in a snap of Thanos fingers.

A boy who raises three pelicans is at the heart of the story of STORM BOY. Newcomer Finn Little steals the show but what’s most impressive is how they got pelicans (not the most cuddly looking things) to follow the 11-year-old actor around like your average pet. STORM BOY also beautifully captures the beauty of South Australia’s coastline.

CAPTAIN MARVEL isn't going down as one of the best Marvel movies, but it's definitely entertaining and feels more like a STAR TREK movie than a Marvel outing. That's not a bad thing. It has lots of merits, and CAPTAIN MARVEL is a great movie for young girls or anyone whose told they can't achieve their dreams. By the end, there's no doubt Captain Marvel will pound Thanos to dust in ENDGAME.

The time has arrived to judge the sequel to BLADE RUNNER starring Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Jared Leto and Mackenzie Davis ("Halt and Catch Fire"). Directed by Denis Villaneuve (ARRIVAL, SICARIO, PRISONERS), BLADE RUNNER 2049 opens October 6, but movie fans won't get the chance at an early screening as Warner Bros. is keeping the movie under wraps until it hits theaters. A few select press saw the movie including CineMovie and we were sworn to secrecy regarding the plot and twists in BLADE RUNNER 2049. So here's our spoiler-free review and the five things we can talk about.
