Ferrer (Buen Dia, Ramon, Sin Nombre), a festival film favorite, plays gun smuggler "Arnulfo" in 600 MILES, and he's telling CineMovie what the movie has to say about gun control. The animated comedy UN GALLO CON MUCHOS HUEVOS ("The Ballsy Chicken") from Mexican filmmakers and brothers, Gabriel & Rodolfo Riva Palacio Alatrist, marks their third film in a trilogy based on their Huevos Cartoons. However, their two other animated projects were too racy for American audiences, according to their star Omar Chaparro who voices a duck in UN GALLO CON MUCHOS HUEVOS. This film marks the first time one of their films has been distributed in the United States, and they are talking to CineMovie about the hardships of animating a 3D film in Mexico and keeping the humor more PG this time around.

After being absent for 15 years from the big screen, Velasco returned in LA HIJA DE MOCTEZUMA as La India Maria. LA HIJA DE MOCTEZUMA is hitting CineLatino just in time for Mexico’s Independence Day, on Sept. 16 for a pre-premiere. Judging from the trailer below, Velasco has no problem getting into character as they spoof classic American films like the Matrix and Indiana Jones.
