Lego-Movie-2014

Lego my Eggo! A LEGO movie?  Sorry, I couldn't resist after watching the new trailer for the LEGO® movie.  Now I feel like building something.  Take a look at the trailer, which features the building blocks as familiar characters such as Superman, Wonder Woman and Ninja Turtles' Michelangelo.

Morgan Freeman returns as God, or at least he sounds and looks like one in a LEGO body that looks like Moses. And finally Wonder Woman gets her shot at the movies, even if it's just as a LEGO®, but we're glad to see her. The new teaser trailer for the 2014 film also features a hyped up version of 80s band A-ha's "Take On Me" song over the action. What a strange choice, but the younger generations won't have a clue anyway.

Chris Pratt voices the lead mini-figure Emmet who must save the LEGO universe from an evil LEGO tyrant who wants to glue the universe together. Emmett, mistaken for a master builder, must snap into action before the world ends.  The voices of Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson also get attached to LEGO mini-figures.

Official Movie Synopsis:

"The LEGO® Movie," the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, opens in theaters February 7, 2014. It stars the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
