'Spider-Man No Way Home' Movie Review: Geek-tastic, Mind-Blowing and Emotional

 Doctor Strange and Spider-Man

Prepare to have your mind blown with SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME. The film is full of nostalgia, humor, and moments that will have you reaching for tissue paper. There’s also a post-credit scene that lays the groundwork for the next MCU movie. There are no spoilers here so it’s safe to read on.

As revealed through the trailers and posters, Peter Parker screws up royally when he screws with Doctor Strange’s spell to make the world forget he’s the Spider-Man. However, the multi-verse opens bringing Spidey’s old nemesis back to cause havoc. Doc Oc, the Green Goblin, Sandman and Electro return with the original actors (Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe) reprising their roles.

There are tons of surprises and moments that will have the audience reacting and clapping. The communal experience can be compared to that of AVENGERS: ENDGAME. SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME is the kind of movie you’ll be talking about for days.

Tom Holland shows a much broader range playing the young superhero as his actions have serious consequences, so he’s forced to transform from the happy-go-lucky teen to a serious adult.

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME does have a dull section early on but you’re snapped out of it when something major happens, and its non-stop from there.

Director Jon Watts and screenwriters Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers performed a miracle here juggling the drama, humor action, and emotional elements of the story. SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME is the most satisfying film of all the Spider-Man movies.

SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME hits movie theaters starting Thursday.
