The 3rd Annual Hollywood Critics Association Midseason Awards Nominations Includes Streaming Series and Movies

2020 is not your normal year as COVID-19 has forced movie audiences to shift their viewing to streaming services. To reflect the change, the  Hollywood Critics Association is now including movies and series in the 3rd annual HCA midseason awards. The nominations were announced Monday morning, and SHIRLEY starring Elisabeth Mossleads with seven nominations followed by Margot Robbie's BIRDS OF PREY and Spike Lee's DA 5 BLOODS. 'The Boys' Cast Recap Show and Announce Season 2 Premiere

Amazon Prime Video will be premiering season 2 of “The Boys” Friday, September 4 with the first three episodes. The official announcement calls the return of the superhero satire “f***ing diabolical.” Amazon kicked off the news with the cast coming together for a virtual event, hosted by Patton Oswalt, a guest star in the new season.

Tribeca Drive-In Series Bringing 30 Films To Pop Up Drive-ins Nationwide

Robert DeNiro's Tribeca Enterprise is taking the show on the road with its Tribeca Drive-In Series partnering with IMAX and AT&T for pop up drive-ins. Movie theaters may be opening in July but confidence in watching movies in an auditorium remains low in a COVID-19 environment. Drive-ins is the perfect solution, and Tribeca Enterprises announced a curated program will roll out in Los Angeles, New York, Arlington (Texas), Miami, Seattle and suburbs of New York. The program starts July 1st and a percentage of proceeds from ticket sales will go to Black Lives Matter.
