Shot in digital 4K resolution on location across the United States and Iceland, OBLIVION stars Tom Cruise as one of the few humans stationed on Earth as a drone repairman patrolling the skies for vital resources depleted after a war with alien beings.
Rescuing a strange woman (Olga Kurylenko) from a crashed spacecraft triggers a chain of events that forces him to save the fate of humanity. Now that sounds like a Mission Impossible.
The OBLIVION teaser movie poster surprisingly doesn't feature Tom Cruise's mug. Instead the film's star looks on at a post apocalyptic New York City with the tagline, "EARTH IS A MEMORY WORTH FIGHTING FOR."
Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Game of Thrones' Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Melissa Leo also star in OBLIVION directed by Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.
OBLIVION will exclusively be shown a week earlier at IMAX® theaters starting April 12, 2013 then everywhere April 19.
