Mexican Luchadores Return as Cinematic Superheroes in 'El Halcon' with Director Eduardo Valenzuela and Star Ianis Guerrero

Mexican luchadors dominated 1970s Mexican cinema with Santo and Blue Demon starring in numerous films as crime-fighting superheroes. EL HALCON director and co-writer Eduardo Valenzuela wants to return the masked wrestlers to their glory. CineMovie sat down with El Halcon director and star Ianis Guerrero to talk about the film which borrows many elements from the classic Mexican superhero movies.
